We’re getting married!

We met at the Starbucks on Rider Campus while playing a game. Lisa, not knowing John was there to play the same game as her, put him at a disadvantage unknowingly. Lisa was apologetic, John was not impressed. For the next year we met up with each other and a group of friends until we eventually saw each other almost every day. Lisa thought John liked her but wasn't sure and after waiting awhile to see if he would ask her out she asked him out instead. Lisa picked Yestercades in Red Bank as their first date location. She offered to drive (possibly attempted to insist) and tried to pay at Surf Taco, leaving John to wonder if it was even a date at all. It was, and they have been dating ever since.

John and Lisa planned a trip to Disneyworld to celebrate their Dateaversary. The resort and plane tickets were booked, the Magic Bands were here, John had purchased the ring and was planning to propose while in Disney.... then Pandemic hit. The decision was made to stay home and quarantine and postpone Disney. On the day we were supposed to leave for Disney, John was out walking Thunder and Lisa was making Mickey Mouse pancakes and playing Disney music to keep our spirits up amongst canceled trips and uncertain times. When John and Thunder returned, John made the decision to propose then and there. Lisa was oblivious and thought he wanted a hug, when she realized what was happening, John gave her the ring but technically never asked. She said yes anyway and they have considered themselves engaged ever since (even though John likes to randomly bring up the fact that he technically never asked).
